Due to fierce Internet competition (including from their own sales partners and retailers) combined with little to no online strategy, Xerox's brand although strong offline was very weak on Search Engines.
Some of the keywords included:
Xerox corporation
Xerox copiers
Xerox printers
Color Printers
And over a thousand other keywords rank number #1 on all the major search engines in 1999.
However, many keywords such as copiers, color copiers, scanners, fax machines, printers, laser printers, inkjet printers, and many others have fallen since we left this project and with management changes this project was not maintained at the level needed.
